Hey, Gang… My show on New Year’s Eve with the The Elliot Deutsch Big Band had to be postponed (but I’ve been told that New Year’s Eve will still be on December 31st). Speaking of the calendar… Heads-up for a gig on September 18, 2012 at The Rrazz Room in San Francisco.
I am temporarily off the road to deal with a surprise illness… please support Margaret Dorn, who is filling in with The Manhattan Transfer. She is doing the impossible, learning all our shows and doing a great job with my partners. Love to you all, and thank you for all the wishes of love and recovery… I shall return!!!

Dear Mrs. Bentyne,
I wish you will be fine in a short time and you could overcome your illness.

You are an amazing talent, and I wish you a speedy recovery!
Missed you last night in Gainesville. Dorn did ok, but u own the high notes. Get Well! <3
Hi Cheryl…..saw the MT a couple of nights ago in Tulsa. Really missed your voice. Margaret did a yeoman’s job, but it is more than tough trying to duplicate a blend that has been going on for years. My wife and I would love to hear all of you together again and I am considering buying tickets for the MT dinner and show on April 28 at Dosey Doe. Any idea if you will be on board by then. Thanks, and many thoughts and prayers for your rapid recovery.
Sincerely,
Al Colby
You were sorely missed at Java Jazz last night. Margaret looked very uncomfortable and out of her depth, which is purely understandable. You are the glue that binds the Manhattan Transfer sound together. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
